Facial Rejuvenation Looking Better Without Surgery
I am proud of the fact that so many of my patients look and feel better after cosmetic surgery. However, I am also pleased to offer non-surgical options for facial rejuvenation, as well. So, let’s take a look at the many alternatives which are available for patients without the need of surgery.
Neuromodulators
These are various brand names such as Botox, Dysport and Juneau, that can facially rejuvenate by interrupting the nerve flow to the desired muscle. They prevent lines and wrinkles while providing a more timeless looking face. These injectable neuromodulators are the most common cosmetic enhancements performed at my Riverside office in the Inland Empire. done yearly.
Fillers
Likewise the market is replete with non-animal derived fillers. These categories include:
Hylauronic Acids such as Juvederm and Restylane, which we generally use for finer lines, lip plumping, minor depressions and contouring. Radiesse which is derived coral is used for larger volume enhancement and contour restoration.
Sculptra is a synthesized compound of polymerized lactic acid. While not an immediate filler, Sculptra gradually stimulates the production of your own collagen with longer and increased lasting results.
Kybella is the first and only FDA approved injectable that helps to dissolve fat cells under the chin to enhance the profile. The Kybella injectable is made of a form of deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a natural molecule in the body that helps to breakdown and absorb dietary fat.
Lasers can create some facial magic, as well. A CO2 laser is employed for skin resurfacing and tightening, while a V-beam laser treats facial spider veins. IPL stands for Intense Pulse Light to help eliminate stubborn sun spots.
