Recovery after Injectable Fillers

Recovery is fast and straightforward with maybe several hours of minimal swelling and bruising. It is best to avoid bruising that you do not take any aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve or Motrin at a minimum of 10 days before the injection. These medications can thin the blood and make bruising more apparent. Tylenol (acetaminophen) does not alter the clotting factors and be safely taken in advance of the filler administration.

In addition, for those who are prone to bruising we recommend a combination of the homeopathic medications’ arnica and bromelain before and after your facial filler. Usually, ice packs are only needed to help with swelling and it is then advisable to take any of the over-the-counter pain medications as need
