What is the California Medical Association?

On 12 March 1856, the predecessor to the California medical association (CMA) the Medical Society of the State of California was founded and held its first meeting in Sacramento, Calif. The California Medical Association is a Medical professional organization representing more than 43,000 physicians with Doctor of Medicine degrees with in the state of California. The CMA is constituent organization of the national American Medical Association.

What Makes the California Medical Association Unique?

The CMA is dedicated to serving its member physicians through a comprehensive program of:

  5. Social advocacy.
