Injectables are one of the simplest methods to improve the signs of aging on the face. The difference between facial fillers is in the composition, thickness of the ingredients and the depth of injection. Dr. Hardesty and Dr. Bennett take pride in their skill with injection methodology and selecting the right facial filler choice for each patient. The types of injectable fillers include:

  • Botox:Certain wrinkles such as between the eyebrows and above the upper lip are caused by the contraction of facial muscles over time. Botox relieves muscle contractions and secures repositioning of the released muscle. In addition, Botox that is performed prior to the development of permanent wrinkles helps prevent wrinkles from forming on the face.
  • Restylane: Restylane is a facial filler that can fill skin folds and depressions on the face such as the nasiolabial fold lines, hollowed cheeks and fine lines throughout the face. Also, Restylane may also be used to create more volume in the lips and improve lip lines.
  • Perlane: Perlane is an injectable with ingredients of greater volume than provided by Restylane. Perlane is used to correct deeper skin folds on the face and hollowness in the cheeks.
  • Juvederm: Juvederm is a facial filler designed to minimize nasiolabial fold lines and create more volume in the lips.
  • Prevelle: Juvederm is a facial filler designed to minimize facial creases on the face such as the forehead, frownlines, nasiolabial fold lines and lines around the eyes and lips.
  • Radiesse: Radiesse is a thicker facial filler that is used to treat advanced skin folds and depressions on the face. Because of the material’s thickness, it is limited to use in deep skin folds and contouring deep structures.
  • Sculptra: A unique (Poly-L Lactic Acid) Filler that stimulates your crou collagen production. It is currently only FDA approved for reconstructive purposes in the USA. It is widely used internationally for cosmetic enhancements. It is anticipated for full release in the near future.
