Our Inland Empire plastic surgeons will tell you that breast implants come in different shapes and sizes. There are also two different fillers - saline and silicone. Currently the FDA approves saline-filled implants to be used on an unrestricted basis, while silicone gel-filled implants are only to be used in certain cases.
The incision for your breast implant can be placed in a number of different locations. These include around the areola, in the armpit, but oftentimes it is made underneath the breast and just above the crease. Drs. Hardesty and Bennett will make every effort to ensure that the incision is placed so scarring will be as inconspicuous as possible.
